We have a new full‑time role available – Lifesaving & Education Coordinator - a key operational member of our paid team - to help us fulfil our commitment to our members and the Palm Beach community.
Must be able to work after hours and weekends where required.
Promote club information, courses, and events through emails, social media and on websites relating to lifesaving and education.
Support the club Admin team to maintain accuracy of club the website including Club Calendar updates.
Support the Club Captain, Chief Training Officer (CTO) and other officers to ensure that all apparel for the senior club (in relation to training and lifesaving) are adequately stocked and a regular stocktake is completed.
Support the GM for all Lifesaving and Education matters relating to Palm Beach SLSC
Support the club Board and the GM to assist with the annual Presentation of Trophies
Provide assistance to the public and members to complete prerequisites and to enrol into training courses.
Support the CTO in coordinating annual skills maintenance programs, developing and supporting a strong team of trainers and assessors, and ensuring all qualifications remain current. Assist with the delivery of training and the planning and execution of annual live‑in training camps.
Support the GM with the Club Captain and delegates to support patrol operations, rosters and other areas relating to patrolling.
Recognise and celebrate our volunteers by supporting Youth Member of the Month nominations, promoting member achievements through social media, and helping develop meaningful recognition initiatives in collaboration with club leadership
Support the office to ensure reporting requirements are met
Coordinate annual Gear & Equipment servicing in conjunction with relevant Personnel
Contribute to planning for the seasons ahead.
Qualifications & experience
* A current Working with Children's Check - Blue Card (or ability to obtain one).
* Hold a current and proficient Surf Life Saving Bronze Medallion and Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue).
* Current Drivers Licence (to visit areas of Southeast QLD) where required and to operate club vehicles.
* Current Training and/or Assessing qualifications and /
* Current Cert IV TAE (or ability to obtain one).
* An understanding of a Surf Life Saving Club's operations in Lifesaving, Education, Junior Development and/or other relevant areas preferrable.
* An understanding of Surf Life Saving online platforms.
* Knowledge and understanding of Surf Lifesaving's operational services and equipment, including beach patrols preferrable.
* A Position Description can be obtained on request.
