Due to one of our People and Culture team members going on Parental Leave, Sugar Australia has an opportunity for an action orientated People and Culture Business Partner to join our team for a
12-month period on a full time basis
. This position reports to the General Manager - People and Culture and works with a small collaborative, energetic People and Culture team.
This role, based at our Yarraville VIC Head Office, business partners our Sales and Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Commodity and EHS teams.
The People & Culture Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the leaders and teams and will partner and coach leaders to build their leadership capability and drive strategic people initiatives. The successful candidate will support the People and Culture team to execute our P&C strategy and help us achieve our aspirations of building a highly constructive culture.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Business Partnering with teams to support the delivery of priorities as per their business plans
* Providing advice and support on workforce planning, talent, performance, engagement and employee relations
* Coaching and building capability of leaders
* Recruitment activities for roles within client groups as required
* Partnering with the General Managers and Senior Leaders on organisational change, including leading change management activities, communications and engagement plans and building readiness for new ways of working
* Ensuring compliance with workplace legislation, policies and safety requirements
* Working closely with leadership teams and employees to drive culture & engagement
* Leading or contributing to key People and Culture programs such as wellbeing initiatives, talent reviews, succession planning, learning & development
What we're wanting you to bring to the table:
* Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources
* Exposure to Industrial and manufacturing environments advantageous (or a willingness to learn and immerse self into one)
* Experience driving culture and change initiatives
* Strong Business Partnering mindset and demonstrated ability to build relationships and think strategically
* Enjoys a balance of hands on operational HR (resolving day to day people issues, coaching leaders and handling IR/ER matters) whilst also demonstrates the ability to lead longer term People and Culture Projects
* Works well in a fast paced environment
