Job Purpose
The Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Manager oversees and leads the recruitment function across the business in NSW and QLD. The role manages the team responsible for sourcing, screening, onboarding, and ensuring all workers meet state-specific accreditation, compliance requirements and company onboarding targets and needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise and support the recruitment team across NSW and QLD, allocating workloads, setting expectations, coaching team members and monitoring performance, including KPIs.
* Develop and implement recruitment strategies aligned with operational needs and diversity objectives, identify process improvements, forecast staffing levels, maintain pipelines for high‑volume and white‑collar roles, monitor workforce supply, support succession pathways, and contribute to workforce mix decisions.
* Supervise and quality‑check end‑to‑end recruitment processes, oversee shortlists, contracts and final selections, support the team during peak periods, ensure consistent practices across NSW and QLD, co‑own onboarding outcomes, and maintain feedback loops to improve quality of hire.
* Ensure workers meet state‑based traffic control requirements, oversee licence validation, inductions, visa checks and documentation, and conduct compliance audits.
* Build strong relationships with Divisional Managers and Operations teams, provide recruitment updates and insights, and act as an escalation point for urgent staffing issues.
* Lead the review and redesign of recruitment and onboarding processes, train and support induction teams, optimise workflows, standardise templates, generate weekly dashboards, and report on post‑hire quality metrics.
* Ensure a positive candidate experience, support employer branding and recruitment marketing, build partnerships with training providers and Indigenous employment groups, champion referral programs, guide onboarding improvements, maintain people databases, standardise documentation, and review feedback to improve long‑term fit.
