Location: Sunshine Hospital

Employment Type: Part-Time (32 hours/week), Ongoing

Salary: ANUM Year 1/2 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About the Role:

Significant investment in Western Health has seen the opening of the new Adult and Paediatric Emergency Departments, Fast-Track services, Short Stay Unit, Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Hub and Rapid Assessment Discharge Unit in Sunshine Hospital. You may also be aware of the $1.5 billion construction of the new Footscray Hospital.

We have increased team sizes across all areas of the newly expanded Emergency Department. This has allowed us to maintain our highly supportive environment and culture, offering a wide range of initiatives to make it the best place to work This growth has created new vacancies for Emergency Department Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUMs) to join our team of multidisciplinary professionals.

We are looking to offer permanent ANUM positions rotating within the Sunshine Emergency Department with the expectation that the successful applicant would also work in all other ANUM roles across the entire ED when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Work in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) as a collaborative leadership team

Plan, implement, evaluate and maintain a modern, innovative model of care

Act as the professional and clinical role model

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team

About You:

Current Emergency Department nursing experience

Post graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing - Emergency

At least 3 years of adult and paediatric nursing experience

Previous experience as an ED ANUM or Nurse In Charge (desirable)

Post graduate qualifications in other acute nursing specialities (desirable)

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
