As a Traffic Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the transportation landscape of our community. Your responsibilities will include facilitating our Local Traffic Committee, investigating agenda items, and preparing minutes and reports. You will also be responsible for project management, including planning, design, consultation, and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitating Council's Local Traffic Committee and preparing agendas
* Investigating agenda items and suggesting recommendations
* Liaising with members and attending meetings
* Preparing minutes and reports
Project Management: You will oversee projects from planning to construction, involving funding applications and identifying new opportunities for funding.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Assessing permit applications for heavy vehicle travel
* Reviewing Development Applications related to traffic and transportation
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Engineering or extensive technical knowledge within a relevant discipline. Additionally, you must have demonstrated experience in traffic and transport design, planning, and investigation services, proficiency in CAD software programs, and detailed knowledge of relevant legislation.
Benefits:
This position offers a term contract basis until 30 June 2028, with a remuneration package including a base salary, civil liability allowance, motor vehicle allowance, and superannuation.
