Job Description:
Coal Clearance Superintendent - Moranbah North Mine
Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, Coal Clearance Superintendent is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and continual improvement of the site’s Asset Management processes and systems through the delivery of accurate and timely asset management and forecast plans.
The role will be rewarding and varied and will involve the following:
1. Apply disciplined and proven methods of work management to develop a fit-for-purpose plan and schedule, which is resourced and communicated to ensure assets are maintained at optimum levels for the mine
2. Develop and implement asset life-cycle medium and long-term maintenance planning and budgeting forecasts
3. Subject matter expert for specialist asset in the areas of process, audit, compliance
4. Development and implementation of asset management policies, strategies and improvement plans
5. Engage with relevant stakeholders, including planners and co-ordinators to ensure that the mining process and maintenance activities align with the mine production plan
6. Lead the establishment, implementation, maintenance, auditing and improvement of site’s asset management system, consistent with SMC asset management policy
7. Interpret and analyse qualitative and quantitative data to support asset system improvement activities
8. Project manage the delivery of initiatives and activities for asset systems and process improvement
9. Provide asset management coaching, training and specialist advice to direct reports and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Qualifications:
10. Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a relevant trade combined with practical experience
11. Demonstrated experience in a similar/same role in the resources sector
12. Specific knowledge of the QLD Coal Mining Legislation and Coal Mining practices is required
13. Strong track record with engaging with stakeholders across multiple sites and workstreams
14. In depth knowledge of Maintenance systems
15. Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset
16. Track record of interfacing with and influencing across all functions of the business
