Telecommunications Lead
IS&T (Information Systems & Technology), Communications – Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia – Ref. No. 101426
This position reports to the Communications Supervisor and is responsible for supporting, maintaining and leading telecommunications infrastructure across Glencore Metals Australia business units. You will play a hands‐on role in the design, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunications systems across multiple operational environments.

Key Responsibilities
* Install and maintain Cisco voice and video systems
* Support and maintain radio network infrastructure
* Perform fibre optic, LAN and telecommunications cabling installations
* Conduct network maintenance, diagnostics and fault finding
* Install, maintain and support video conferencing systems
* Provide support for mobile devices across multiple operational sites
* Assist with billing support, budget preparation and cost control
* Supervise contractors and apprentices where required
About you – skills and experience
* A self‐motivated and flexible approach with the ability to work independently
* Registered Cabler certification, including Structured Cabling and Fibre Optic endorsements
* Strong experience in fibre optic installation, termination and troubleshooting
* Experience in communications cabling within commercial or industrial environments
* Solid understanding of AS/CA S009 customer cabling requirements
* Strong communication and customer engagement skills
* A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
* A proactive, team‐focused attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
Highly Regarded
* Certificate III in Telecommunications or higher
* IT infrastructure experience, including networking fundamentals
* Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications
