About the Opportunity
The Senior Service Desk Officer is a senior member of the ICT Service Desk team, and is responsible for undertaking and managing a range of First Level ICT support activities associated with incidents, problems and service requests for AGD staff and both internal and external service providers. The Senior Service Desk Officer is additionally required to drive continuous service improvement by facilitating appropriate skills and knowledge transfer to junior members of the Service Desk team, and maintaining the agency's ICT knowledge base system and standard operating procedures.
About the Business
The Technology Services Business Unit is responsible for helping to meet a wide range of IT needs throughout the department by providing expertise and services in ICT Service Desk and Desktop Support, Infrastructure Management and Technical Support, ICT Contract Management and Procurement, ICT Security and Policy, IT Asset Management, software licensing and compliance, ICT Change Management that assist in meeting the overall AGD objectives.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
Some out of hours work may be required.
