Who we are looking for
We are seeking qualified and experienced tradespeople to join our growing team. We currently have multiple permanent and casual positions available at our Tomago site, working a 4‑day week (Monday to Thursday) in our Specialised Vehicles Division.
We welcome applicants who are
Trade Qualified (Preferred) in mechanical, electrical, painting, hydraulics, or related trades applicable to vehicle building, assembly, or manufacturing.
Suitable trades include (but are not limited to):
* Vehicle body builders
* Vehicle assemblers
* Motor mechanics
* Trades from related industries (e.g., marine, rail, caravans, RVs, lifting equipment)
* Building industry trades with mechanical/electrical fit‑out experience
If not trade qualified, experienced with a minimum of 3 years' relevant hands‑on experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, repairs, fit‑outs, refurbishment, or fabrication (in automotive or similar industries).
What you will need
All applicants should demonstrate:
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, instructions, and work procedures
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
* Physical capability to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and repetitive movements
* Successful completion of a pre‑employment medical (including drug & alcohol screening)
* Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
In these hands‑on roles, you will contribute to the manufacture, fabrication, painting, assembly, and fit‑out of a wide range of specialised vehicles, including emergency response units, fire trucks, ambulances, service vehicles, and other engineered automotive solutions.
