The Opportunity

Located in Colac on the VIC Surf Coast, Calvary Barongarook Gardens is a modern and vibrant aged care home. We are seeking a Leisure & Activities Coordinator to lead the design and delivery of individual and group lifestyle programs that reflect the interests, identities, and cultural backgrounds of our residents. Working closely with the Home Manager, clinical leadership team, and a dedicated group of lifestyle officers and nursing staff, the coordinator will play a key role in enhancing resident wellbeing through meaningful engagement and connection.

Key responsibilities

- Designing and implementing group and one‑on‑one activity programs tailored to individual resident needs, hobbies, and spiritual preferences.
- Collaborating with care teams to ensure activities are inclusive and achievable.
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, and carers to support holistic care planning.
- Documenting assessments, care plans, and progress notes in line with legislative and quality standards.

About You

- Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or a relevant qualification.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Experience planning and evaluating programs for older adults, including those with cognitive impairment.
- Strong documentation and IT skill.
- A high level of honesty, integrity, and commitment to inclusive care.
