Job Description
We are excited to announce that we are hiring a full time Restaurant Manager at Oaks Port Douglas Resort.
As the Restaurant Manager, you'll be the driving force behind creating an unforgettable dining experience, overseeing daily operations, and leading a passionate team to deliver outstanding service. From curating staff training to ensuring every guest is wowed by the food, your leadership will be key to our success. This is a great opportunity for an experienced supervisor looking to step into their first management role. With extensive training and support, you'll have the chance to grow into a leadership position at our vibrant bar and grill.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Ensure smooth and efficient daily floor operations of the restaurant and bar
* Managing the day-to-day profitability, presentation and operation of the restaurant and bar
* Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company's food and beverage features to promote to clients
* Managing, leading and motivating staff to ensure a high preforming team culture is maintained
* Work closely with the Executive Chef, Hotel Manager and marketing department to develop marketing material and promotions for Marque Bar and Grill
* Roster according to department needs
* Create budgets and monitor financial performance of the restaurant.
Annual salary: $73,347.50 plus super.
Qualifications
To be a success in this position, you will have:
* A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a similar role
* Possession of a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and promoting a safe and responsible drinking environment.
* Proven experience in managing staff, with a strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team to achieve departmental goals and maintain exceptional service standards.
* Expertise in generating and implementing innovative revenue-building strategies and initiatives
* Comprehensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including product knowledge, industry trends, and regulations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, customers, and senior management, fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.
* Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service with an unwavering positive attitude
* High level of self-motivation, confidence, and initiative, with the ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions under pressure
* Flexibility and availability to work evenings, weekends, and other peak periods as required, demonstrating commitment to meeting the needs of the business and ensuring smooth operations.
