About the role
The Clinical Midwives role is to lead and deliver person centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. The Clinical Midwife is expected to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. They have the responsibility for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7 and an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.
About you
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Midwife.
* Current registration or eligibility to register as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia / Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA) is mandatory.
* Appointees will be required to work under the Caseload Midwifery Industrial Agreement which includes working variable hours and on call for annualised salary arrangement which includes 35% loading and 6 weeks recreation leave.
* While not mandatory, working towards or completion of a post‑graduate qualification in the area of specialty would be well regarded.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $160,747 p.a. (includes 35% annualised salary) is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $56.08 - $60.05 p.h. (plus 35% annualised salary)
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
