About Your Next Opportunity
The 3D Animator role within Viverse is responsible for creating 3D animations of existing 3d models for use in marketing materials as well as animating game meshes for use in Viverse worlds. They must also help with the development of game levels, including importing meshes and doing 3D‐level design.
Job Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
* 3D Animation
* Develop short animations using hand animation or motion capture for use in marketing materials, Playcanvas, and Viverse worlds.
* Level Design
* Import 3D meshes, set up their shaders, and set up animations in Playcanvas.
* Layout assets to create engaging levels for different internally developed games and experiences.
* Collaboration & Teamwork
* Collaborate with Brianna, Social Media Marketing Manager, to understand the animations needed to support the social content.
* Work closely with Fofamit, the Virtual Influencer Manager, to understand the scope of internal games to be developed.
* Participate in cross‐functional meetings, contributing to innovative content ideas and campaign strategies.

* The Engineering function is responsible for all engineering activities within a firm to ensure that business objectives are met. Includes the creation, development, design and improvement of products, equipment, facilities, services, standards and procedures in all engineering fields. The Industrial Design area is responsible for creating and developing design concepts and specifications that optimize the function, ergonomics, perceived value and appearance of products. The Multi‐Focus attribute is typically reserved for roles that either: (1) span multiple disciplines, products, focuses of expertise; or (2) do not meet the responsibilities described in any of the focuses in this area. This job family is in the professional level category and works independently with flexibility and authority over daily work priorities. Incumbents in this job level category may provide work direction to other employees but would not typically have the authority to discipline or reward other employees. There are different levels available that provide clarity on contribution expectations based on knowledge, application, problem solving, and collaboration.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills And Experience)
* Bachelor's degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* 2+ years' experience as a 3D Animator in a professional or freelance setting.
* A strong portfolio showcasing 3D animation work, including character and environmental animation.
* Proficiency in industry‐standard 3D animation software such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, or 3ds Max.
* Familiarity with rendering engines like Arnold, V‐Ray, or Unreal Engine.
* Understanding of rigging, skinning, and character setup for animation.
* Knowledge of animation principles, including timing, weight, and motion dynamics.
* Experience with motion capture software and processes is a plus.
* Basic knowledge of modeling, texturing, and lighting workflows.
* Competence in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere) for compositing and editing.
* Strong storytelling abilities and creativity to bring characters and environments to life.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‐quality output.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team, taking direction and implementing feedback effectively.
* Strong time‐management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills And Abilities)
* Knowledge of scripting (e.g., Python, MEL) for automation in animation tools is a bonus.
* Familiarity with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine if working in game development.
* Understanding of current trends and techniques in 3D animation.
* Passion for animation and the visual arts, with a drive to continuously improve and innovate.

At the time of posting, HTC's estimated hourly wage for this position is $65.53 – $73.00 AUD. Individual compensation will vary based on job‐related factors, including candidate skills, qualifications, experience, business needs, and geographic location. This position is also eligible for participation in our discretionary bonus programs.
