About the Role
Drivetrain are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our Kalgoorlie team in a full-time, permanent position. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing workshop operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are consistently met.
This role will report to the Territory Operations Manager, WA and collaborates closely with the Kalgoorlie Team.
What You'll Do
* Drive workshop performance to achieve sales and gross profit targets.
* Maintain the highest standards of quality and safety in all repairs and services.
* Manage production orders for workshop jobs, SPK kits, and service exchange units.
* Ensure jobs are completed within national KPI timelines, providing coaching and support where needed.
* Oversee daily WIP management and prepare accurate reports, including WIP and technical service reports.
* Prepare quotations aligned with Drivetrain standards.
* Actively participate in production meetings and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
* Take ownership of the quality and integrity of all work performed in the workshop.
About You
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Mechanical Trade Qualification (Heavy Duty Plant preferred).
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Workshop Supervisor or Manager.
* Strong knowledge of Drivetrain products and industry segments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
* Effective time management and organisational skills.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:
* SAP experience (minimum 3 years).
* Ability to write detailed technical reports.
* Strong estimating skills for cost and labour, including quotation preparation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
