Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Officer – Laboratory Mobilisation & Delivery to support the successful setup, commissioning, and delivery of laboratory projects across our operations.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in laboratory environments and project coordination, who thrives in fast-paced, site-based project settings and enjoys seeing projects through from mobilisation to operational readiness.

Responsibilities include however, not limited to:

* Support Project Managers with end-to-end project delivery activities including scheduling, milestones, procurement coordination, mobilisation planning, and documentation
* Maintain structured project documentation, registers, risk logs, and reporting frameworks
* Monitor project KPIs and contribute to reporting across schedule, cost, quality, and readiness objectives
* Attend site during peak project activity to coordinate suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
* Act as the on-site focal point for day-to-day project execution, issue resolution, and progress tracking
* Coordinate laboratory installation, commissioning, and readiness activities
* Ensure effective communication between site teams, project management, suppliers, and leadership
* Coordinate commissioning activities including equipment installation, validation, and readiness checks
* Verify laboratories are commissioned in line with company procedures, safety standards, and quality systems
* Assist with handover documentation and readiness reviews
* Liaise with internal and external construction, supply, installation, and client stakeholder

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have a:

* Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Science, Geochemistry, Metallurgy, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
* Experience in mining laboratory operations (preferred)
* Proven experience supporting projects, mobilisations, or laboratory start-ups
* Project management training or practical experience (advantageous)
* Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and accredited laboratory environments (beneficial)
* Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Willingness and ability to travel to site as required
