our capabilities include design, installation, maintenance and breakdown services to a wide range of industries.
We have a position available for a 1st year apprentice who is looking for an opportunity to expand their learning potential and complete a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration through TAFE QLD.
The position will be full time, which will begin with a 3-month probation Period. After this probation period your performance, communication & attitude will be assessed and if approved you will be signed up to continue your apprenticeship with us. Please note, if you are signed up, your apprenticeship start date will be back dated to when the probation period started.
Must Have/be:
* Driver's License and own transport.
* White/Blue card.
* Manual Driver's License

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Cool Connections Air Conditioning team as a Refrigeration Mechanic Apprentice. As a Refrigeration Mechanic Apprentice, you will be responsible for learning and developing the skills required to maintain, repair and install residential and commercial air conditioning systems.
1. Assisting experienced refrigeration mechanics with the installation, maintenance and repair of air conditioning equipment
2. Gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing faults in air conditioning systems
3. Completing on-the-job training and formal education to obtain your Refrigeration Mechanic qualification
4. Adhering to all company policies, safety standards and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
1. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn the refrigeration and air conditioning trade, existing apprentices are encouraged to apply.
2. Completion of Year 10 or equivalent education level is required.
3. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
4. Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality work
5. Good communication and teamwork skills
6. A commitment to workplace health and safety
