About the role
Nakers Marine Services Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory. As a full-time Electrician, you will be responsible for providing electrical services and maintenance support to our diverse range of marine vessels, equipment and industrial maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
What you'll be doing
* Perform electrical installations, repairs and maintenance on a variety of marine vessels and equipment.
* Provide breakdown and maintenance support in the Industrial sector, including conveyors, concrete batch plants, food and processing plants.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, identify and rectify faults
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand and address their electrical requirements
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards
* Contribute to the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs
* Maintain detailed records of all work undertaken and provide progress reports as required
* Assist with the training and mentoring of junior electrical staff members
What we're looking for
* Fully qualified Electrician with a valid NT Electrical License.
* Australian driver's license.
* WAH and EWP high risk license desirable.
* Proven experience working in the marine or industrial sector, preferably with exposure to electrical systems on vessels and automation.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
* Familiarity with electrical installation and maintenance standards and regulations
* Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment and tools
* A commitment to workplace health and safety
