Gippsland Southern Health Service is a major provider of healthcare in the South Gippsland Shire. GSHS offers a broad range of services that meet the needs of a diverse and sparsely populated area. With two main acute facilities based at Leongatha and Korumburra, GSHS offers a broad range of specialist, general, acute, subacute, ambulatory, residential aged care and community services.
Reporting to the Executive Director of People, Culture & Experience the role will have key deliverables in maintaining and promoting a happy, safe and competent workforce, supporting our current and future leaders in employee engagement and development outcomes, whilst providing guidance, advice and support to the People and Culture Team as well as our leaders.

To be successful in this role, you will have
8. A Bachelor of Human Resource Management, Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent relevant experience
9. Demonstrated experience undertaking comprehensive employee relations, performance, and safety incident investigations and case management
10. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills necessary to build sound working relationships, influence stakeholders, negotiate and facilitate positive outcome
11. A working knowledge of the legislative compliance framework within the Victorian Public Service sector, the Fair Work Act, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
12. Demonstrated experience in coaching and training management level staff in achieving outcomes
13. Sound knowledge of and demonstrated application of occupational health and safety legislative standards and guidelines relevant to a complex organisation, including injury management.
