Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is looking for a Data Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and strategic use of clinical and operational data within the Nepean ICU. This position is responsible for the end-to-end management of data systems, clinical indicator surveillance, supporting clinical excellence, research initiatives, and administrative decision-making through accurate and timely information delivery.

This role will see you collect, validate, and manage clinical data to support quality and performance reporting across relevant clinical services, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with NSW Health data standards. Your day as a Data Manager with ICU will see you monitor and analyse clinical outcomes, producing regular reports and dashboards to support clinical governance and improvement programs, contribute to the design and implementation of quality improvement initiatives based on data trends and findings and supportclinical research, audits, and accreditation activities by providing accurate and timely data.

What you will bring to the role:

1. Current registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse with AHPRA
2. Ability to assist with coordinating data management, data integrity and data quality
3. Demonstrated experience using information technology and systems including Microsoft Office Suite and skills in database software
4. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise with senior management, and external agencies
5. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
6. Proven ability to problem solve, prioritise workloads, ability to meet deadlines and ability to work independently.
7. Demonstrated ability to support staff and manage changes.
