WATM Crane Sales and Service is a privately owned, specialist, crane dealership with over 50 years of experience in the industry. WATM leads the market in the supply and support of several of the world's leading brands, including exclusive distribution for Manitowoc (Grove) cranes and Hiab. We import new cranes and sell throughout WA.
Operating across three locations in Perth and the Pilbara region, WATM has purpose-built infrastructure spanning over 13,000m2. We are conveniently located in Bayswater, not far from Tonkin Highway on/off ramps and the Perth airport.

About the Role
Due to several years of strong sales growth across all brands of capital equipment, we now have exciting opportunities for Heavy-Duty Plant Mechanics, Auto Electricians, and Heavy Diesel Mechanics with mobile crane experience to join our Product Support Team as Crane Technicians.
With both Perth-based and FIFO opportunities available, successful applicants will have the chance to earn well above industry hourly rates while enjoying the flexibility to work either locally or on-site in remote locations.
We offer full OEM training to ensure you are supported in developing and maintaining the specialist skills needed for the role.
About You
We welcome applicants with any mobile crane experience, and in particular those with backgrounds in:
* Grove all-terrain and rough-terrain hydraulic cranes
* Manitowoc crawler cranes
Candidates from the automotive or other heavy-equipment industries who are looking to transition into larger equipment will also be considered.
You will bring:
* Trade qualifications in Mobile Equipment Fitting / Plant Mechanics or relevant Motor Trade qualifications (Cert IV or higher)
* Ideally 3+ years' experience as a qualified Crane Technician (or equivalent heavy equipment experience)
* A strong aptitude for electronic diagnostics and experience with CANBUS systems
* Minimum "A" Class driver's licence
* Proven ability to manage customer relationships and promote services
* A strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously
* Solid problem-solving skills and an uncompromising approach to safety
* The desire to learn, up-skill, and grow as part of the WATM Product Support Team
