About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, highly organised and motivated Quality Assurance and Export Documentation Officer, to join our close-knit team, based in Ballan (VIC), on a full-time basis.
The role is predominantly based at our Ballan Head Office and includes coordinating boning and delivery instructions, timely and accurate export documentation and compliance to maintain accreditations.
Attendance at the abattoir in Pakenham is required 3 times per month. This involves an overnight stay nearby for a 4:00 am start.
The successful applicant will oversee production and packaging at the abattoir to ensure our beef meets company specifications for domestic and export markets.
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, key responsibilities will include:
* Issuing boning and delivery instructions and supervising grading/boning at abattoir.
* Updating production data promptly and accurately.
* Facilitating export orders, bookings, confirmations, and compliant documentation.
* Maintaining PrimeSafe, HACCP and NPE accreditations and keeping the Quality System Manual current.
* Supporting cold store operation as required.
About You
You will have a high attention to detail and accuracy in your work, be organised with a Quality Assurance focus and take pride in producing accurate, reliable and audit-ready records.
You will be comfortable in an abattoir environment and proficient with export documentation, ensuring products and shipments meet strict specifications and reach customers on time.
As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining PrimeSafe, HACCP and NPE accreditation.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience within a similar position.
* Export documentation and logistics experience.
* Knowledge and understanding of beef cuts.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, highly organised with strong time management skills.
* Ability to work with contract processors, show initiative and work productively within a team environment.
* Excellent computer skills and experience using IT systems, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Hold a Current Victorian Driver Licence and be available to travel as per operational requirements of the role.
* A relevant University degree, while not mandatory, would be highly regarded.
