Electrical Engineering Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture. The mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile PCI coal for export markets.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring electrical maintenance activities are in compliance with electrical and statutory requirements, and electrical equipment is reliable in order to optimise business performance and minimise operational downtime.
* Control and manage the mines electrical engineering activities and projects, including statutory obligations in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Establish and maintain electrical maintenance practices in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Develop, periodically review and implement the Electrical Engineering Management Plan (EEMP).
* Control and manage the design and execution of electrical work and installations.
* Oversee and provide guidance in the execution of weekly work and shutdown schedules to minimise unscheduled work.
* Drive electrical performance to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
* Provide technical advice and support to key stakeholders.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships across the mine site to ensure work plans align with business goals and are delivered as per schedule, on time and within budget.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in a coal mine environment.
* Hold current EEM certification, electrical trade qualifications, high voltage switching, EEHA Hazardous areas and mining supervisory competencies.
* A post-trade engineering qualification will be highly regarded.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to foster and maintain a positive safety culture.
* Experience with computerised maintenance management systems; SAP along with Microsoft Project highly desirable.
* Sound knowledge of Master Data (Creating/Updating Task List, Maintenance Plans) experience is highly desirable.
