We are partnering with a global leader in electrical components to appoint a Product Engineer focused on low-voltage switchgear and electrical distribution products.
This is a technically focused, customer-facing role where you will act as the bridge between product development, sales, and the Australian market. You will work closely with wholesalers, distributors, and internal stakeholders to strengthen product adoption and support growth across the region.
This position is based in Sydney and includes regular travel across Australia to engage with customers, deliver technical support, and gather market insights.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Customer Engagement
* Provide technical advice, troubleshooting, and product support to customers and channel partners
* Deliver training sessions and technical presentations to wholesalers and distributors
* Act as a key technical contact for low-voltage product enquiries
* Work closely with wholesalers and distributors to support product promotion and adoption
* Assist sales teams with technical input for projects, tenders, and customer solutions
* Support product launches, trade events, and technical seminars
Market Insight & Product Development
* Collect and analyse market feedback to identify customer needs and industry trends
* Collaborate with global engineering teams to influence product improvements and new development
* Provide insights into competitor products and market positioning
Field Engagement
* Conduct regular customer visits across Australia
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the electrical distribution channel
* Support hands‐on technical engagement in the field
Skills & Experience
* Qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
* Experience with low-voltage switchgear, electrical distribution, or industrial control systems
* Strong understanding of components such as circuit breakers, contactors, and relays
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Customer-focused with strong relationship-building capability
* Willingness to travel regularly across Australia
