Prosthetic/Orthotic Technician, Princess Alexandra Hospital, QLD Your new role: In this vital technical position, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality prosthetic and orthotic services within the Prosthetic, Orthotic and Podiatry Services Department.
Provide professional prosthetic/orthotic technical services in line with established protocols, evidence-based practice and ethical standards.
Manage your own clinical/technical workload with increasing autonomy as your competency develops.
Participate in technical governance, including accurate reporting and compliance with TGA legislation.
Contribute to team meetings, consumer engagement, and collaborative care with multidisciplinary colleagues.
About you: You are a motivated, patient-centred technician who brings strong technical skills, a commitment to learning, and a collaborative team mindset.
Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality, efficient, evidence-based prosthetic/orthotic technical services.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork and positive consumer engagement.
Ability to develop technical knowledge through active learning, professional development, and participation in departmental processes.
Capacity to contribute to education of students and support staff, and to take part in quality improvement activities.
