Position Summary
On behalf of our client, Global Skilled Employment Services is looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer Technician who has robust communication and time management skills, is self‐motivated, and can work independently or as part of a team. This role will involve hands‐on activities to fabricate, assemble, erect, test, maintain, and/or repair equipment and components in line with industry best practice, company standards, policies, and procedures. The position may also require leading a small team and training current members.
This is a full‐time position that may involve weekend work and some unplanned hours as needed.
Qualifications
* Associates degree in mechanical engineering technology (MIT) or a similar field.
* Minimum of two years' experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry.
* Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Required Skills
* Valuable written and verbal communication skills.
* Advanced knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare and legislation, dairy production, and OH&S.
