Significant Leadership Opportunity with Market Leading Construction Materials Manufacturer.
This executive-level role requires a collaborative, experienced, construction industry-proven Sales professional to lead, support and enhance our clients' sales activity and visibility on major construction projects across the East Coast, Australia.
Based in Sydney, this critical ELT role is responsible for identifying and securing major project opportunities across multiple existing sectors plus emerging markets. As such, your proven major project experience in Structural Steel, Prefabrication, engineered builder products, residential, infrastructure or aligned sectors is essential.
This role is predominantly customer-facing and pivotal to our clients' business visibility and ongoing growth. As the primary contact with our clients' valued customers, you will inherit stable, trusted relationships that have sustained longevity and ongoing growth.
The role is designed to provide strategic input, lead & support the company's sales & growth strategy, as a significant contributor to the Exec Team by developing, supporting, satisfying and influencing valued Tier 1 clients, customers and relationships.

This is a challenging role in a complex and demanding environment that includes major project in emerging markets in infrastructure and residential development, energy, data centers.

Key business objectives and responsibilities:
* Influence, support and enhance relationships with a highly valued and established customer base of Tier 1 builders and developers.
* Technically competent and confident to negotiate and liaise with engineers and designers in a complex manufacturing / construction environment
* Large (>$30m value) negotiation experience
* Solid understanding of complex and detailed contracts.
* Self awareness, Presence, capability, and credibility are essential attributes.
* Develop existing and new strong partnerships with major builders and developers.
The selected candidate will possess the following experience as a minimum:-
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Sales & Marketing preferred;
* Highly developed communication and presentation skills;
* The ability to build, nurture and maintain strong business relationships;
* Strong strategic, commercial and critical thinking skills;
* Proven analytical aptitude;
To succeed in this role you must be a credible, proven networked sales achiever, with high IQ and EQ, focused on driving positive profitable outcomes via an indirect team of estimation professionals. You must be able to work with cross-functional teams and collaborate to achieve the best business outcomes.
