For this role it would be highly desired if trainers had experience in coaching or mentoring, be able to quickly build relationships with people from varying backgrounds, knowledge of the disadvantages being faced by job seekers and be proactive in helping people achieve their goals.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
* Train, assess, & and manage learners in accordance with the Individual Support Training Package;
* Be able to deliver training in Townsville, prefer living locally and Logan City.
* Assist in facilitating the enrolment process when it comes to administering paperwork;
* Engage and support students through the learning process;
* Provide flexible learning methods for students with varied abilities & motivation;
* Professional with experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
* Complete all relevant paperwork for quality, reporting & audit compliance purposes;
* Manage your own professional development to maintain industry relevance/currency & qualification standards for self & the organisation.
* Attend age care and disability facilities to complete observations of students.
To be successful in this position you must hold TAE40122 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as well as the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support, prefer Disability and Ageing qualification.
Highly Desired Attributes:
* Experience as a Trainer and Assessor
* Minimum of three years experience working as a personal care worker
* Reside in Townsville or North Queensland.
* Reside in South East Qld for Logan City role
