Service Manager – Supported Accommodation – Respite Division

About Us: At Rocky Bay, we provide inclusive and person‑centered respite support that gives people with disability the opportunity to rest, recharge and thrive. Our Short‑Term Respite services offer safe, supportive environments for participants and provide a valuable rest break for carers. As we prepare to launch our dedicated Youth Respite initiative in Cottesloe, we are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our Respite Services and ensure exceptional care across both adult and youth programs.
About the Role: You will lead a team of dedicated Team Leaders and support workers to oversee the daily operations of four respite accommodation houses, managing short‑term stays, emergency respite, and the rollout of our recent Youth Respite service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee delivery and coordination of adult and youth respite services (STR and emergency respite)
- Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to team leaders and support staff across multiple sites
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including NDIS Practice Standards and participant safeguarding
- Collaborate with families, support coordinators and allied professionals to develop and implement person‑centered support plans
- Assist in the operationalisation and promotion of the upcoming Youth Respite program, including intake, rostering and service design
- Manage incident reporting, quality improvement processes and documentation systems
- Foster a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement within the team
About You
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate leader who can inspire teams, build trusted relationships and deliver high‑quality services that reflect participants’ diverse needs and goals.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within disability, youth work, community services or similar sectors
- Strong working knowledge of the NDIS, especially Short‑Term Respite (STR), Duty of Care and Risk Management
- Tertiary qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Youth Work or related field (desirable)
- Experience working with children and young people, including knowledge of the National Principles for Child‑Safe Organisations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong financial literacy and business development skills
- Familiarity with client management systems such as Lumary or similar (desirable)
