Job Title: Payroll OfficerLocation: Northern SuburbsSalary: $51 per hour + superContract: 6-month temporary assignment (11 August **** to February ****)
About the Role: Reporting to the Team Leader Payroll, the successful candidate will join a collaborative team to provide support during peak payroll activities.
This is a temporary role designed to bolster payroll operations within a complex environment that involves manual processing and a customised Chris 21 payroll system.
Key Responsibilities
Handle the effective completion of regular payroll queries with timely and employee-focused responses.
Resolve general queries relating to timesheets, higher duties, and employment terminations.
Provide support as directed to the payroll team and manager during month-end and quarter-end reporting and compliance activities.
Adhere to all council policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
Mandatory hands-on experience with Chris 21 payroll software.
Proven ability to adapt to a customised payroll system.
Comfortable working in a hands-on environment with manual processes.
High attention to detail and a thorough understanding of payroll processes and timeframes.
Screening Requirements
