This is a Recruitment Pool for 12 months for Casual, Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
- Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
- Appointments may be made from this pool until 30 May 2026.
Currently we have a Fixed Term Part Time (0.4 FTE) appointment available for 6 months with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
Position Profile
We are seeking a practical, compassionate and reliable Equipment Officer to join our team and assist in the delivery of the day-to-day service provision of the Equipment and Consumables Service, including the co-ordination of in-hospital and patient loan equipment movements to and from the service, equipment cleaning, minor repairs and maintenance.
This role is varied and you will be required to work both independently and as part of a team with a strong focus on customer service. You will be required to liaise with the multidisciplinary teams to support families and patients and are responsible for delivering a consistent and timely service.
The service operates 7 days a week, 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Sunday, excluding public holidays. Supernumerary shifts will be provided as part of your orientation to the role.

The Equipment and Consumables Service provides essential support to patients and their families in their safe transition from hospital to home. In particular, we offer support to families navigating complex homecare needs and aim to reduce the need for readmission.
