The role provides leadership and support for the day-to-day operations of Operational support services (including environmental and patient assistance services) based at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, working closely with the Manager Environmental Services - Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
The position is also responsible for collaborating with other facility operations managers to ensure consistency of approach, processes and sharing of resources.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Provide expert advice to the Chief Operating Officer in relation to operational service requirements, including environmental, patient assistance, food services and supply and logistics in collaboration with the relevant managers.
- Lead a diverse team implementing effective coaching and mentoring strategies to ensure key performance indicators are met, in alignment with legislative standards, guidelines, practices and policy.
- Exercise expert judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures are not defined.
- Actively collaborate with operations managers at other facilities within the SCHHS to ensure sharing of resources, consistency of approach and collaboration for quality improvement initiatives.
