Lyka is an Australian founded pet wellness company that shakes up an outdated industry and paves the way for happier, healthier pets. Despite medical advancements, animal lifespans are on the decline and many pets suffer from dental disease, cancer, and obesity. We deliver nutritionally balanced, whole‐food meals directly to doors across Australia, aiming to create disease‐prevention meals and supplements while expanding into new markets.
Our Mission

What you'll do
Operational & Maintenance Support
* Provide support and backup to the Maintenance & Asset Care Supervisor as required.
* Understand basic machine operating principles and maintenance requirements across the manufacturing process.
* Drive compliance with the asset care and preventative maintenance schedule — ensuring all work orders are completed on time, in full, and to the required quality, safety and environmental standards.
* Support the management and ordering of inventory for spare parts and consumables.
* Prioritise maintenance requests in line with business needs and expectations.
* Coordinate, assist and learn from OEMs, trades and contractors as required.
* Coach production workers in the correct use of machinery and equipment to reduce breakdown risk and injury.
Administration & CMMS
* Perform maintenance and asset care records reviews and all associated CMMS transactions.
* Support departmental planning, condition‐based monitoring, spares strategy and financial procedures in line with Engineering and Maintenance/Asset Care & Reliability strategies.
* Fulfill both operational and high‐level administrative responsibilities as required.
Safety, Quality & Compliance (SHEQ)
* Actively support SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) standards across all manufacturing functions.
* Ensure maintenance and asset care tasks are planned and executed in accordance with Lyka's quality standards, including all HACCP requirements.
* Support the team in adhering to Quality and Food Safety procedures.
* Ensure compliance with Lyka's safety policies, procedures, and all statutory and legal requirements.
* Demonstrate behaviour that actively supports a safety‐first culture at all times.
* Actively support a cohesive, flexible and goal‐focused culture across M&SC and the wider Lyka Pack.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
* Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained at all times across the site.

Requirements
* Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
* Experience with modernised CMMS systems and modern maintenance principles (highly regarded).
* Experience managing a preventative maintenance programme (highly regarded).
* Hands‐on experience in machine disassembly, fault diagnosis and rebuild (highly regarded).
* Experience with automated machines in a manufacturing environment (highly regarded).
* Experience managing spare parts strategies and inventory.
* Familiarity with ISO Quality Systems, HACCP and GMP environments (advantageous).
* Excellent operational IT skills.
