About SASS Care
SASS Care is a Bendigo-based, family-owned service provider, proudly operating since 2017. We play an essential role in delivering quality support services to older persons and people living with disabilities in the Bendigo and Melbourne communities, helping them to achieve their goals and live their best life with dignity and respect.
Your Role and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
* Providing daily living assistance, including showering, personal hygiene, and general mobility.
* Assisting clients with medications, preparing food, and feeding.
* Delivering care in accordance with individualised Care Plans.
* Providing emotional support by engaging in conversations and actively listening to concerns.
* Observing, caring for, and reporting any changes in a client's health and wellbeing.
* Collaborating with support staff and managers to exchange advice and best practices.
* Being open-minded and ready to participate in clients' community access opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate MUST Have:
* Certificate III in Individual Support or higher (or equivalent).
* 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
* A current Driver's License and access to your own reliable vehicle.
* Working With Children Check (Employee).
* Current First Aid/CPR certificate.
* Current Police Check/Certificate (issued within the last 6 months).
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Willingness to complete short shifts, predominantly 2 hours on weekdays, or longer based on client needs.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
