This position supports Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) Government Solutions in a joint Department of Defense program in Alice Springs, Australia. The selected individual will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide the following services:
We seek an experienced General Practitioner committed to high-quality healthcare and patient well-being across diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide medical services similar to those of the USG Facility Medical Officer during clinic hours and after hours as needed.
2. Obtain patient health histories and perform physical examinations.
3. Diagnose and counsel patients, developing treatment plans.
4. Prescribe medications following state laws and professional guidelines.
5. Maintain comprehensive, problem-oriented health records per policies.
6. Ensure continuity of care with timely medical services.
7. Deliver excellent customer service to patients.
8. Arrange referrals for services not available on-site.
9. Review and follow up on incoming reports such as labs and imaging.
10. Assist in updating protocols and practices.
11. Support medical public relations functions.
12. Engage in continuous learning and stay updated with medical advancements.
13. Complete organizational compliance training as required for certifications.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
* Expertise in clinical practice with a patient-centered approach.
* Strong communication skills and empathetic demeanor.
Work Experience:
* Minimum of five years as a general practice physician.
Qualifications:
* License to practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Physical Demands:
* Work in typical office environments.
* Sitting, standing, bending, and lifting up to 15 lbs may be required.
Other Qualifications:
* US, UK, or Australian citizenship.
* Ability to relocate to Alice Springs, Australia, for the contract duration.
* A valid passport is required and must be maintained during stay.
