Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking an experienced Conference Sales & Events Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities
* Manage and ensure the success of the Events Team while liaising with clients to arrange events, functions, and conferences.
* Oversee the department's sales function, contributing to new business through upselling, site inspections, and communications with new and repeat clients to achieve budgets.
* Qualify each event proposal, accepting those that match availabilities and align with conference marketing and strategy plans.
* Identify key demand periods and assist with promotional ideas to improve event planning and execution.
* Implement and timely send out specials as required.
* Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters; assist with space contracts, booking event space, arranging food and beverage, ordering supplies, and audiovisual equipment; coordinate décor to meet Minor Hotels' quality standards.
* Actively promote restaurant, events, and conferencing facilities in line with the annual strategic marketing plan.
* Troubleshoot client issues before, during, or after events.
* Assist with preparing budgets and provide reports when required.
Qualifications
* Conference & Events management and sales experience.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Understanding of project management concepts (scheduling, cost, and time management).
* Highly driven, creative, self-starter with a natural problem-solving ability.
* Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels with confidence.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications.
