Job Overview
Your focus as Head Chef will be to manage and lead a culinary team that provides nutritionally balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality culinary service, contributing to the overall well‐being of the residents while staying within budget.
Responsibilities
* Prepare modified diets that are appealing, well‑balanced, and in accordance with IDDSI guidance.
* Place food orders with approved suppliers, maintaining appropriate stock levels and purchasing quality provisions within agreed budget limits.
* Supervise and direct kitchen staff and the Host team, instructing and demonstrating simple food preparation activities to unqualified staff.
* Practice safe systems of work across all tasks, assessing risk and ensuring personal safety for residents, visitors, and staff.
Shift details
07:30–16:00, including alternate weekends.
About You

Qualifications and Experience
* Two years' experience managing a culinary team in the care or hospitality sectors.
* Relevant catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ.
* Evidence of passion and commitment to delivering high‑quality culinary standards to residents.
* Ability to control a budget.
Requirements
* A DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
* Completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service check (Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975).
