Overview
Operations Manager at Spartan Australia, NZ & Fiji to lead the planning, logistics, and on-site delivery of festival environments across our multi-brand event portfolio.
This is a senior, hands-on operational leadership role responsible for end-to-end logistics coordination, infrastructure planning, workforce deployment, vendor management, and on-site festival execution across Spartan Race, Tough Mudder, DEKA and other brand extensions. Working closely with Race Directors and stakeholders, you will:
Responsibilities
* Lead festival planning, site infrastructure management, and build sequencing.
* Own freight coordination, asset circulation, logistics planning, and inventory consolidation across the national event calendar.
* Act as on-site Festival Manager, overseeing setup, live operations, issue resolution, and pack-down.
* Manage contractors, crew deployment, sponsor integration, and food vendor contracting.
* Ensure operational readiness, safety compliance, and adherence to event SOPs.
* Lead Base Camp setup and crew welfare management across event cycles.
* Drive operational efficiency, cost-conscious decision making, and continuous improvement across logistics systems.
Requirements / Qualifications
* This role requires strong planning discipline, commercial awareness, and the ability to lead under pressure.
* You will travel extensively (including 10–14 consecutive days for 5+ events per year) and work extended hours during event build and delivery.
