Senior People & Culture Business Partner

* One full-time, 12-month temporary role opportunities located at Strawberry Hills with hybrid / flexible working arrangements.
* Clerk Grade 9/10 – 35 hours per week - $129,464 - $142,665 per annum (plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading).

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior People & Culture Business Partner to join our team and operate as a trusted advisor to leaders across the OCG. This is a true all‐rounder role, requiring a self‐motivated professional who is comfortable working with a high level of autonomy and ownership.

You will partner closely with senior leaders to deliver practical people solutions, manage complex employee relations matters, and lead people-related projects that drive organisational outcomes.

We are seeking a motivated and resilient person to:

* Act as the primary P&C contact for allocated business areas, providing trusted, pragmatic advice to leaders and employees
* Deliver end‐to‐end employee lifecycle support, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, change, and separation
* Lead and manage complex employee relations and case management matters, including performance, misconduct, grievances, investigations and change-related issues
* Provide high-quality advice on industrial instruments, policies, procedures and employment legislation within a public sector context
* Support and coach managers to build people leadership capability and confidence
* Contribute to and lead people and culture projects including policy development and continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with the broader P&C team to ensure consistent, best‐practice service delivery

To be successful in this role, we are seeking a person with:

* Demonstrated experience in a senior P&C partnering/generalist role within a fast‐paced environment
* Proven capability across the full employee lifecycle, operating confidently as a true all‐rounder
* Strong employee relations expertise, with the ability to manage complex and sensitive matters independently
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Highly self‐motivated, organised and effective when working with a high degree of autonomy
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to coach at all levels
* Sound knowledge of employment legislation, industrial frameworks and public sector governance
* Practical, solutions‐focused approach, underpinned by strong judgement and integrity\

* Employment at the Office of the Children's Guardian is subject to the satisfactory completion of security and vetting checks.
* All roles associated with the Office of the Children's Guardian are required to have a current NSW Working with Children Check.
