Where the team fits in
As part of the Trust Experience Squad in Consumer, we are seeking a talented mid-level iOS developer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of REA’s privacy evolution (part of Program Propel) working across our experiences.
4. Collaborate with our cross-functional team to implement our robust privacy goals.
5. Contribute to the overall technical solution design and product direction
6. Learn and teach - we are constantly learning together, mentoring each other and striving to do things better.
7. Work with other teams in the business to deliver shared goals and outcomes
What the role is all about
8. Contributing to Privacy native initiatives in the Trust Experience squad by design, developing, and testing, and deploying high-quality iOS applications
9. Supporting the Delivery Lead on planning and tracking progress and quality.
10. Supporting an after-hours on-call roster
11. Engaging with the wider native community across the organisation, identifying opportunities to share and learn
12. An appreciation of software engineering principles and a can-do attitude with an ability to own problems and see things through.
Who we’re looking for
13. Demonstrated experience in software engineering using Swift. Kotlin is a plus
14. Demonstrated experience with platform APIs and UI toolkits on iOS such as SwiftUI, UIKit and Foundation APIs
15. A passion for iOS and an intrigue in Android
16. An interest in the privacy domain
17. Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional team members
18. Communicate technical concepts and challenges to non-technical stakeholders
19. Demonstrated knowledge of software design patterns and best practices for software development
20. Demonstrated experience using common testing practices
21. Demonstrated understanding of common mobile application architectures
22. Active contribution to technical decision-making process
23. Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
24. Coaching less experienced members
25. Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment - #gsd (urban dictionary will help on this one!)
