Overview
We are a large family owned Broiler Free Range Farm with 6 large up-to-date and automated sheds, located approximately 25km North of Donald, Vic 3480.
We are looking for a Broiler Poultry Farm Hand that will lead into a Co-Manager role for the right candidate. The nearby town has two schools, one private and one public, as well as various services and amenities. The town also has a vibrant sporting culture for those who enjoy physical activities.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the health and welfare of our animals
- Providing adequate nutrition, feed management and monitoring
- Overseeing general farming activities such as maintaining sheds, controlling pests and weeds
- Maintain litter quality to the highest standard (Dry & friable)
- Keeping and evaluating records of farming activities
- Ensuring that the farm is always audit ready and compliant with industry standards (RSPCA)
- Maintaining workplace health and safety
- Operating machinery, removal of litter, washing and preparing for day old chicks
- Willing to work some weekends and after hours
