Located within walking distance to Kings Park, Holiday Inn West Perth is IHG's first Perth property outside of the City Centre. Part of the hotel's charm is the former 1902 Walsh Family residence which sits at the front of the property as a destination restaurant, Julio's Italian Restaurant.
Julio's is Perth's favourite award-winning Italian restaurant where you are welcomed by a passionate team, and can enjoy an Italian cicchetti menu, fresh house made pasta, and a spread of hearty mains. We are proud to have been awarded the prestigious Australian Good Food Guide Reader's Choice Award in 2025 for "Italian Restaurant".
Julios offers boutique coffee, a la carte breakfast, private dining/small conference functions, a casual lunch with colleagues during the week, or a relaxed dinner with friends and family or a cheeky in-room dining treat if our guests want to stay comfortable in their room.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Working closely with our Head Chef and Kitchen team, you willbe responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our Food & Beverage Operation including Julios Restaurant; open for breakfast lunch and dinner, In-Room Dining and Conference & Events.
Partnering with the Food & Beverage Team you will help to deliver a unique and high-quality experience to all that visit our great hotel.
What we need from you:
* Degree or certificate in Commercial Cookery
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a hotel or restaurantkitchen environment or looking for your next career break. Shown leadership capability is a must.
* A flair for creativity and understanding of Menu creation
* Possess great attention to detail
* Exceptional teamwork and leadership skills
* Self-starter approach to working
* A working knowledge and understanding of HACCPprocedures
* Rostering, ordering & payroll knowledge will be highly regarded
* The flexibility to work various shifts on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
* Candidates must have Australian working rights.
