The Legacy Club of South Australia & Broken Hill Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker to join our team. This is a full-time position based in our Adelaide, SA office. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our beneficiaries and their families, providing tailored psychosocial assistance and advocacy. Your work will have a direct impact on improving the quality of life for those we serve.
What you'll be doing
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify beneficiary needs and develop personalised care plans
* Provide counselling, support, and referrals to community resources and services
* Advocate for beneficiary rights and ensure access to necessary social, financial, and healthcare support
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care
* Maintain detailed case notes and documentation in accordance with professional standards
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery
What we're looking for
* Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Allied Health or related degree in a similar field.
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers
* Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Social Worker, preferably in a healthcare or community services setting
* Strong clinical assessment and case management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with diverse clients
* Demonstrated understanding of social and mental health issues impacting vulnerable populations
* Commitment to ethical practice and adherence to professional standards
* Must be an Australian permanent resident or citizen to be eligible for this position
