* Contract start ASAP to 6 months, with 2 x 12 months extensions available.
Essential Responsibilities
* Presentation skills for large audiences are essential.
* Strong leadership skills to keep team members accountable, allocate resources, and communicate with clients and customers are required.
* No less than 10 years of experience in Requirements Engineering, preferably in a Defence ICT-centric project.
* Experience working on the installation of systems into Military Platforms is necessary.
* Supporting and conducting Test and Evaluation in a Defence environment is a key requirement.
* The ability to apply requirements, standards, and frameworks in practical future designs and systems is vital.
* Evaluating system performance, identifying bottlenecks, developing solutions, and implementing them with vendor assistance is crucial.
* Conducting research and rapidly learning new concepts and tasks to improve technical knowledge and skills is essential.
* Effective communication skills, both spoken and written, to convey complex ideas to non-IT audiences are required.
* Able to work in a team environment, participate in project meetings, and engage with business and technical stakeholders.
* Proven experience working with CASG SPOs and within CASG Engineering Management Systems is essential.
* Proven experience in Engineering Management / Technical Project Management positions is required.
* Able to balance Technical Assurance Framework requirements with project schedules.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Providing input into end-to-end architecture development; therefore, knowledge of the Department of Defence Architecture Framework (DODAF) and Defence C4ISR capability is highly desirable.
* Experience integrating systems into Maritime Platforms would be beneficial.
* Proven experience in leading the planning and implementation of the engineering function for complex ICT systems and solutions is highly regarded.
* Experience and understanding of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) would be an advantage.
* Membership of the Institute of Engineers or Systems Engineering Society of Australia (SESA) is highly regarded but not essential.
