As a Breakfast CDP Chef, you will be an essential part of the morning kitchen brigade, working closely with senior chefs to prepare and present high-quality breakfast dishes. You will support kitchen operations under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, ensuring each plate and the Buffet reflects the Sofitel brand’s commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of breakfast items according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with the breakfast team to ensure efficient and timely service during peak morning hours
- Support the Head Chef in implementing new breakfast menu items and presentations
- Properly store and rotate food items to minimise waste and maintain freshness
- Assist in inventory management and restocking of breakfast ingredients
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen environment
- Respond promptly to customer requests and dietary requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury or five-star environment
- Trade Qualification in Commercial Cookery
- Maintain impeccable hygiene and kitchen standards in line with HACCP requirements
- A strong focus on delivering exceptional food quality and guest experiences
- Enthusiastic, professional, and dedicated to maintaining high standards
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- A friendly, approachable demeanor with impeccable personal presentation
- Must be available to work across 7 days, including public holidays, with early morning shifts from 5:00am to 1:00pm
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menu items and customer needs
