Part-Time Lawyer (Independent Sub-Contractor – Work from Home)

Goldman Law is a leading law firm with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Dubai. We are seeking an experienced Lawyer to join our team as a part-time independent sub-contractor, working remotely from Perth, WA.
This role offers flexibility and autonomy, with work across commercial and/or litigation matters, supporting a diverse national and international client base. The role will occasionally require court appearances and client representation in Western Australia.
The firm uses Smokeball for practice management, billing, and document automation.
Key Responsibilities
* Solicitor with 8+ years post-admission experience (commercial/litigation preferred)
* Part-time remote work (approx. 3 days per week)
* Provide legal advice across a broad range of matters
* Draft, review, and manage legal documents
* Run files independently and meet agreed deadlines
* Conduct conflict checks in line with firm policies
* Attend court, mediations, and hearings as required
* Maintain accurate time recording, billing, and file notes in Smokeball
* Comply with all professional, ethical, and regulatory obligations in WA
Requirements
* Admitted to practise in Australia with a current practising certificate
* Able to operate as an independent sub-contractor (ABN required)
* Confident with advocacy and court appearances
* Strong communication and very strong computer skills
* Experience with Smokeball or similar software (preferred)
* Reliable internet, home office, and unrestricted PC
* Able to work autonomously and produce chargeable work
* Must be based in Perth, WA
Engagement Details
* Part-time independent sub-contractor
* Flexible hours by agreement (approx. 3 days per week)
* Primarily remote / work-from-home
* Contractor responsible for own tax, superannuation, and insurance
