The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Advisor to support the HR Manager in a hands-on, operational capacity. This role is ideal for a capable HR professional who enjoys being a "doer", providing practical, compliant advice while also owning the administration, documentation and follow-through required to execute HR effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical HR and IR advice to Project Managers and Site Leaders, managing performance, investigations and grievances with procedural fairness and risk mitigation
Ensure compliance with Fair Work, Awards and Enterprise Agreements within a blue-collar environment.
Coordinate workers' compensation and Return to Work programs, partnering with Safety, insurers and medical providers.
Support ERP implementation, improving HR workflows, systems training and change adoption.
Prepare and analyse HR reports to identify trends and proactively manage people risk.
Maintain accurate, high-volume HR documentation with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
About You
To Be Successful, You Will Bring a Proactive, "roll-up-your-sleeves" Attitude Combined With The Professional Maturity To Advise Senior Stakeholders. You Will Have
Proven experience as an HR Advisor in a complex, blue-collar, or operational environment (Civil Construction experience is highly regarded).
Strong technical capability in Performance Management, ER, and Injury Management.
The ability to work autonomously, managing high-volume administration with precision and speed.
A "systems mindset", you enjoy using technology to improve HR outcomes and are excited by the prospect of a major ERP rollout.
Confidence in coaching site leaders and the ability to navigate difficult conversations with empathy and firmness.
