Remuneration: $63.81 - $65.35 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38
Location: Doonside, Mount Druitt, The Hills and Auburn Community Health Centres
Where you'll be working
You will be based across Child and Family Community Health Centres in Doonside, Mount Druitt, The Hills and Auburn, delivering services within Western Sydney’s diverse and growing communities.

Integrated and Community Health Child and Family Services provide nursing and allied health care within a client and family-centred, multidisciplinary model focused on early intervention, developmental support and equitable access.

· Partner with government, non-government and medical services

What you'll be doing
As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will provide clinical leadership, coordination and governance of Child & Family OT services while maintaining a clinical caseload. You will drive high-quality, evidence-based practice and service improvement in a high-demand environment.

· Lead and coordinate OT service delivery, referrals, waitlists and workloads

· Deliver high-quality paediatric OT assessment, intervention and consultation

· Provide supervision, clinical guidance and performance development for OT staff

· Strengthen integrated care pathways and multidisciplinary collaboration

· Monitor performance, report on outcomes and lead quality improvement initiatives



This is a unique opportunity for an experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist ready to step into a senior leadership role and shape the future of community-based Child & Family services.

Essential Criteria:

· Qualification: Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy

· Registration: APHRA Occupational Therapy Board of Australia



Selection Criteria:

1. Substantial post graduate experience and skills in Occupational Therapy clinical practice and supervision within a paediatric multidisciplinary community setting.

2. Demonstrated experience working with children and families with vulnerabilities from various backgrounds, socioeconomic and psychosocial situations.

3. Understanding of processes for implementing client safety, client flow, continuum of care and response times for clinical services.

4. Demonstrated experience and ability in providing professional and clinical supervision and support to staff.

5. Able to utilise relevant evidence based, best practice guidelines to guide decision making for best client outcomes.

6. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills (including computer competence and ability to use electronic health records), initiative, and time management skills.

7. Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
