The Opportunity:
Lindsay Transport is currently seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our Erskine Park, Sydney team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leading first class transportation company and play a key part in assisting hundreds of Australian businesses every day to meet their logistics and transportation needs.
Working an afternoon shift starting at 2.00pm you will play a key role in ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest level while working in state of the art facilities.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
* Safe Always – Demonstrating safe work practices, leading by example and promoting a safe work culture.
* Vehicle Maintenance & Repair - Repairing, replacing, and diagnosing issues across a variety of fleet vehicles (prime movers, rigids, trailers); Performing major repairs including rebuilds, midlifes, and brake/bearing overhauls; Servicing vehicles according to the company schedule.
* Documentation & Compliance - Accurately completing maintenance and repair documentation.
* Breakdown and Emergency Support - Attending to vehicle breakdowns as part of a roster
What You'll Bring:
* Mechanical Trade qualification
* Demonstrated experience post apprenticeship
* Proven competence in repairs and overhauls
* Experience working on prime movers or heavy vehicle trailers is highly valued
* Effective diagnostic skills on Kenworth, DAF, Cummins, BPW
* Own basic tools (specialist tools are provided) (tool allowance paid)
* Basic computer skills
* Clear and concise communication skills
* Motivated, reliable and a good work ethic
