Job Description:

The Conference and Events Operations Manager will oversee the execution of conference and event operations, focusing on enhancing customer experience and ensuring maximum profitability aligned with macq01's strategic goals.

This role involves planning and executing various events, including conferences, banquets, shows, meetings, social events, audiovisual setups, and safety and risk management related to contractors and event operations.

The Conference and Events Operations Manager will be responsible for leading a large team to deliver seamless guest experiences and ensuring strong support and leadership throughout the week.


Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the execution of conference and event operations to ensure maximum profitability and growth.
* Plan and execute various events, including conferences, banquets, shows, meetings, social events, and audiovisual setups.
* Develop and implement safety and risk management strategies related to contractors and event operations.
* Lead a large team to deliver seamless guest experiences and provide strong support and leadership throughout the week.


Requirements:

* Experience in Conference and Events Operations, with the ability to lead large teams of 20 or more staff.
* Proven experience in hospitality management and leadership.
* Ability to work within budgets and report against targets.
* High-level customer service skills and experience resolving customer issues.
* Ability to manage administrative requirements in line with business needs.
* Diploma in Hospitality Operations or equivalent experience, and a current Tasmanian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
