OverviewA casual pool of Laboratory Technicians is being formed for the CSBP Soil and Plant Analysis Laboratory in Bibra Lake.
Roles are based on business demand and the busy soil season.
Shifts are rostered between 6am-6pm during the summer months (typically January to April).
Roles offer flexibility to work part time hours, job share arrangements, and school hours.
Training will begin in November, with busier periods expected in December and January.RoleIn this casual position you will support the high throughput CSBP Soil and Plant Analysis Laboratory to meet business demands.
You will analyse samples from farm, agribusiness and research customers around Australia using modern laboratory equipment.
The analysis you conduct is valued by our agricultural customers and influences the laboratory
€s commercial goals.
You will carry out routine tasks accurately, adhere to strict methodologies for analysis and sample preparation, and maintain a safe working environment.
You will contribute to delivering quality and consistency as part of an accountable, high performing team.ResponsibilitiesAnalyse samples from farm, agribusiness and research customers using modern laboratory equipment.Perform routine tasks with accuracy and adherence to specified methodologies for analysis and sample preparation.Maintain a safe working environment and contribute to quality and consistency in outputs.Collaborate with a diverse team to meet laboratory demands during peak periods.QualificationsTertiary qualifications in Applied Science or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques.Prioritising and understanding of safety at all times.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately analyse data.Experience with Wet Chemistry techniques is highly desirable.Previous experience in a high throughput laboratory will be highly regarded.Additional InformationCasual pool entries do not guarantee a set number of shifts or hours throughout the season.
